First Day Off

Today started far to early for my liking. I had hopes of sleeping since today was my day off, but unfortunately I woke up at 6am. It took me forever to fall back to sleep after reading, answer emails, eating, Facebooking, and surfing the TV channels. Finally I started to fall back asleep around 8am, but never felt like I was fully asleep because on Wednesday's (my day off of all days) is when the housekeeper comes to clean my floor's rooms, starting at 9am. So I was half awake waiting for her to knock on my door.

By the time I had to actually get up and go to a meeting at school, she still hadn't come yet. I actually don't know if she really ever came to clean my room! The meeting that was held today was a mandatory meeting for all students. We were informed by the owner of the school that they had sold the school to a Swiss investment company called Invision. The meeting wasn't very pertinent to us WSU students, but it was still very interesting to hear about. The school is basically staying the same, it'll just be under new ownership and management.

After the meeting Maddie and I decided to explore the town of Brig a little more. We brought our cameras and set out on a little walking adventure. Here are some of the pictures from today:

The views of the Alps are breathtaking at every angle.

I absolutely loved this little house and everything that was surrounding it!

This piece of art outside the castle gardens was very interesting. Just a bunch of very old encyclopedias attached to two posts.

I just love that there is a castle in the middle of the town.

The rest of the day was pretty relaxing. I worked out in the fitness room, took a much needed nap, went to get dinner, and then Maddie, Tyler, and I watched Inception. That is seriously one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time now. After watching the movie I got to talk to Josh on Skype. It makes me so happy when I get to actually see him, but I get really sad when he has to go to class. It's hard every single time, I just hope it gets a little bit easier as time passes. It's hard to be away from the person you love and care about most, but it's only 3 months, I will survive.

No really new lessons were learned today, yet I'm sure many, many more will come within the next 3 months!

-Love-
